I am passionate about many things!  Teaching, research, writing, preparing persons for ministry!  I am a devotee of creative pedagogy and love my job!  I seek to help students grow in their faith and vocation, in their leadership and critical and creative thinking.  I love the church (most of the time) no, seriously I do and continue to follow my call to the ministry of teaching in a theological seminary.  About 3 years ago I did a very wild and crazy thing.  I moved to Canada to pursue that call.  Oh my, what was God thinking?   Nova Scotia is beautiful, and Atlantic School of Theology is the best kept secret in North American theological education.  I am on sabbatical this term (Winter/Spring 2012) and someone said I should create a website.  These things seem so
"all about me" you know, but I am hoping to use it for classes and such.  Anyway, it is a work in progress.

Current scholarly interests:

Linguistics and Theology and faith formation
Gender issues in ministry
Insurgent pedagogy

Ministry with Children and Youth

Other interests: kayaking, sailing and scarves!
